AustLang code-a-thon on Trove

Are you First Australian? Contribute your knowledge to collections from all over Australia in Trove and make them findable for others by tagging items with the relevant language code from AustLang. 

It’s easy to do and together we can make a huge impact to important First Australians cultural materials in Trove. 

This NAIDOC week, from 3 – 10 July, make a cuppa and take some time to look for your cultural material in Trove and let’s see how many items we can tag!

What is the AustLang code-a-thon on Trove? 

During NADIOC Week (3 July –10 July) Trove is supporting a national code-a-thon to help Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to tag resources in Trove that are related to their peoples, communities, and languages. 

What is AustLang? 

AustLang was created by the Australian Institute for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies (AIATSIS). It is the national database for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander language groups and covers diversity of spellings.
