The Trove Preview is a chance for the public to take a look at the upgraded Trove.
Look around while we’re still under construction – the launch is in June, so we’re not quite finished yet. Find out what’s new, what’s changed and what’s the same.
February 14-24 at trove.nla.gov.au.
The preview goes live 10am AEDT February 14 and wraps up 5pm AEDT February 24.
Like all sneak peeks, it’s quick. The team will be getting straight back to work in late February to get Trove ready for launch.
Click the green banner at the top of current Trove to visit the new Trove. Click the yellow banner at the top of new Trove to return. You can switch between the two versions as often as you like while the preview is open.
If you’d like to compare the old and new sites, we suggest having two separate browser windows open.
Anyone who visits trove.nla.gov.au between February 14-24 can choose to explore the preview. It’s not mandatory, of course, but we highly recommend it.
For many people, this may be the first they've heard about Trove changing. We want to give plenty of notice and share all the information you need over the coming months so that by June, you’ll be ready to explore the upgraded site.
Over 3,000 people have participated in activities to inform the new site by answering surveys, participating in testing and attending focus groups.
We’ll be sharing videos, screenshots and lots of helpful information in the months leading up our June launch. This is so you can keep the changes fresh in your mind and learn tips and tricks for getting the most out of new features.
Our Partners will also be asked to share favourite items from their collections – so we can highlight the truly collective wonder that is Trove.
