RODBERy AT AN INN.
Elizabeth Haneocks was indioted for stealing
a quantity of wines, ales, and spirits, the pro
perty of Edwin Martin, landlord of the Cricket
Club Hotel, Chilwell, on the 23rd April list.
The prisoner was indicted unnder two counts;
the one for stealing, and the second for receivng
stolen property, knowing it to be stolen.
Edwin Martin deposed, that on Sunday,` the
23rd of April, twelve cases, contaiinin ale,
'vine, and brandy, were taken from his premises
it Chilvell; gave information, on the following
.lay, to the detective police ; acoompanied the
letectives on the Monday to the prisoner's
1ouse in Chilwell ; the prisoner, when desired by
ritness to open the door for his admission,
breatened to shoot him, if he did not leave the
iremises directly; sutlsequeut to this, about

ackson, obtained access to the houseo; Jackson
