ONE-SIDED FAIRPLAY.
iMr G. A. Burgess, M.L.A., referring to a
disturbance said to have occurred at a mooting
at Cootamsndra, statos that the incident tooek
place a o alleldbeen. It was at the invitation
of the W?allendheen branch of the Political
Labour Leagueo that Mr. Burgess attended the
meeting for the purpose of giving an address on
his attitude towdids the conscription issue.
There weoro, Mr. Burgess says; about 300 navvies
present at the meeting. Immediately he de
clarcd his determination to support the Prime
Mlinister he was assailed with an outburst of
abuse and threats. It appeared as though half
the audience were about to lay violent blnds
