STAR COURT.
"NEW MEXICO."—Tonight at
the Star Court Theatre the virile
western drama in technicolor, "New
Mexico," will open its season. Lew
Ayres makes a welcome return to
the screen as a U.S. Army officer
in charge of troops on the border
of Comanche territory. The story
deals with the period when the
Indians signed a peace treaty only
to have it broken by ruthless
white men seeking gold. War
breaks out, which sets the entire
border aflame. Marilyn Maxwell
is co-starred.
"WHAT A-BLONDE."—The hil
arious comedy, "What A Blonde,"
is the associate attraction at the
Star Court tonight. Leon Errol
plays the role of a New York busi
nessman who, to escape petrol
rationing, invites more and more
people flo stay with him and ride
in his car. His wife returns from
her holiday to find the house
filled with all sorts of people, in
cluding 10 Follies girls.
TH EVOGUE.
"DREAMBOAT."—Clifton Webb
and Ginger Rogers are splendidly
teamed in the comedy, "Dream
boat," at the Vogue today and to
night. The story has many original
twists, all of them laughable. A
professor in an exclusive univer
sity, by medium, of television, is
suddenly shown to be an old-time
silent star of the films. He uses
every endeavour to have the old
films banned, even going to court,
with hilarious results. The associ
ate will be the technicolor ro
mance, "The Elusive Pimpernel,"
starring David Nlven.
"WAIT TILL THE SUN SHINES,
NELLIE."—The stellar attraction
at the Vogue tomorrow will be the
delightful family comedy drama,
"Wait Till The Sun Shines, Nel
lie," featuring David Wayne, Jean
Peters and Hugh Marlowe. The
story is the career of a small-town
businessman who sees the growth
of his town to a city. It is the
story of Nellie, a girl desirous of
life in the big city. The com
panionate will be Glen Ford, Ruth
Roman and Denlse Darcel in
"Young Man "With Ideas."
