CONSPIRACY CHARGES
In the Lismore Police Court yester
day, James V/illiamson (43) was
charged with conspiring with divers
people unknown to defraud by allotting
shares prior to the date on which such
shares could legally have been allotted
in a company known as the New State
Manufacturing Company Limited, Lis
more. Mr. B. (Jox, of Messrs. Tighe and
Cox, Lismore, appeared for the defend
ant who, on the application of the pol
ice was re*manded to appear on Thurs
day, October 22. Bail was allowed
defendant of £80 and one surety of
£80, or two sureties in £40 each. Wil
liamson was also charged with Walter
Walker Wilcox (42) at Lismore-'with
conspiring together to cheat and de
fraud Beatrice Linda Elliott of divers
sums of money. Mr. P, G. Best (Mclhr
tosh and Best) appeared for Wilcox.
Both defendants were remanded on the
application of the police until October
22. Bail was allowed.
