Present — Messrs. J. Robertson (chairman),
H. Roberts, S. A. Milne, H. Hall, R Bartie,
A. Harper, J. R. Smart, and A. A. Wick

Mr. Harper brought in seeds of Broom corn,
Giant Honduras sorghum, and Amber cane.
Questions submitted by Mr. Farrer, of
N.S.W.. on the comnarative nroductiveneas of .
wheat were considered entirely supposititious,
and members thought thab there were no two
wheats which, when grown on similar soils and
under similar circumstances, would give such
a great difference in yield as between 30 and CO
bushels per acre.
Members were of opinion that the best wheat
is that which is prolific, weighs well, is good
milling sample, and the straw stands up well to
