Thursday, June 15.
[Before Messrs. R, Kelly, J.P., Jas. Doyle,
J.P., and G. Rhodes. J.P.I
F. G. Grostett, of Hamley Bridge, appeared
to the summons of the Central Board of
Health for disobeying notice to abate
nuisance— ill-kept pigstye. The secretary
and inspector appeared to prosecute. The
mounted-constable, stationed at Hamley
Bridge, and Inspector Aylifite proved the
case. Fined £1 and costs, £1 10s. 6d. in all ;
the fine to be reduced to 10s. if the nuisance
is abated within a week, otherwise imprison
ment for fourteen days.
