KEBVOUS DISORDERS.
What is more fearful than a breaking down of the
nervous system? To be excitab nervous in a
small degree is most distressin where can a
remedy be found? Here is one: Drink but little
wine, beer, or spirits, or far better, abstain from
them altogether; do not take coffee-weak tea is
preferable; get all the fresh air you can; take three
or four of the Pills every night; eat plenty of solids,
and avoid the use of slops. If these golden rules

well rubbed into the small of the back at bed time.
This treatment will give almost immediate relief
after all other means have failed.

the stomach as these Pills; they remove all acidity,

of the liver aud stomach.

EW and MOST VALUABLE MEDICINES for
hitherto intractable and incurable diseases.
Unlike the patent medicines generally imported
from the United Kingdom, the following, from
France, have been severely tested and scrutinised by
the most eminent Government and private analytical
and operative chemists and practising physicians of
Paris, &c, insomuch, that the entire Parisian medical
faculty, attached to the Government and other
hospitals, &c, in the French dominions, can, after
rigorous trials, with the fullest confidence, recom
mend them to the favorable notice of all languishing,
not only under ordinary diseases, but those who may
be "hoping against hope."

tificates of the physicians of the Paris hospitals de

several academies, this syrup is employed with the
greatest success in place of the cod liver oil, to which
it is really superior. It cures diseases of the chest,
scrofula, lymphatic disorders, green sickness, mus
cular atony, and loss of appetite ; it regenerates the
constitution by puryfying the blood, and is, in a
word, the most powerful depurative known. It

iodide of potassium and the iodide of iron, and is ad

mucous coats of the stomach and bowels, heartburn,

THE INFALLIBLE KEMEDY. '
OL LOW AY'S OINTMENT
CONTRACTED OB STIFF JOINTS. N
All the medicines in the London dispensaries
would barely benefit, much less cure, any chronic
cases of contracted or stiff joints; whereas if this
invaluable Ointment be effectually rubbed into such
parts twice a day, the effects -will be immense.
Paralytic patients even can derive advantages from
this fine remedy when other means fail.
SCOEBOTIC HUMOURS.-SCALD HEADS AND SKIN
DISEASES.
Scorbutic humours arise from an impure state of
the blood, and in most cases the liver and stomach
are the organs at fault -The Pills will speedily
restore these to a healthy action; while the Ointment
if well rubbed in at least twice a day, will soon cure
any case of skin disease. Soldiers, sailors, and
miners use this famous Ointment in all parts of the *
world.
1 DISORDERS OF THE KIDNEYS, STONE AND GRAVEL.
In any of the above complaints more benefit may
be derived in twenty-four hours by adopting the
following simple means than is frequently brought
about in six months by any other treatment. In
bad cases if the Ointment be rubbed into the small
of the back over the region of the kidneys, it will
quickly penetrate, and, in most instances, give imme
diate relief. Six or eight of the Pills should betaken
nightly according to circumstance5.
DIPTHERIA, SORE THROATS, &C.
These maladies are of so serious and dangerous a
nature that the Ointment would not be recommended
unless the Proprietor was sure of its effect. It will
cure when every other means have faikd, if applied
immediately, and not delayed until the patient is
beyond recovery. It is a sovereign remedy for sore
throats. Settled coughs or wheezing will be promptly
removed by rubbing in this ungeunt. Mothers
should rub it into the chest of their infants whenever
there is any hoarseness, tightness, or other affection .

BAD LEGS; BAD BREASTS.-OS® WOUNDS, SORES AM»
ULCERS.
It is surprising' how quickly a sore, ulcer or wound,
deprives the body of strength, and unfits it for the
duties of life; but i: is no less wonderful to watch
the effect of Hollo way'8 Healing Ointment, when it
is. used according to the printed directions, and
assisted by appropriate doses of the Pills. The pain,
inflammation, and other morbid manifestations soon
disappear from the affected part, and health and
strength return. This treatment creates sound flesh,
and therefore makes its cures complete.
GOUT AND EHEUMATISJI
Will be cured with the greatest certainty if large
quantities of the Ointment be well worked into the
complaining parts. : This treatment must be perse
veringly followed for; so me time and duly assisted by
powerful doses of Hfilloway's Pills. The essence of
these diseases lies the blood, which has floating
through each vessel':the pain-giving poison which
vitiates and inflamespvery tissue it comes in contact
with, and produces tile hot swollen, elastic enlarge
ment about the joints so characteristic of gouty and
rheumatic maladies.
Both the Ointment and Pills should be used ic^the
