OPERATIONS RESUMED.
RE-ERECTION OF MACHINERY
ADVOCATED.
The Mayor reported at a meeting of
the council held on Monday night
' that' the stone ' crusher Jiiad been
re-started and that at the present
time 'the council were supplying an
cider for crushed metal. He thought
the -whole of the requirements for the
forthcoming year .should- bV itakeu up
during ihe summer months and stored
at ithe depot.
Cr. Baldock, speaking in .i.sjrard b*-
the working cf the crusher, advocated
the demolition 'and re-ercction of the
whole structure, 'declaring that a sav
ing of at least 25s.. per day in
wages alone could be effected thereby.
