The Bairnsdale inspector reported that
several cnrcses had been removed doring
the month. About 95 notices had been
served upon dairy owner ; fees were now
comingin. Instiuection hod b-e given
to ent the Bathlral bates, with good effect.
Thirteen stlagthteting licenes had been
tuken ont. The general sanitary condition
of the town nas good.-Received.
The Lindenow inspector reported that
Sthe lsaghteri-g yards were in good order.
Forty-two cattle had been slaughtered
during the monthl.-Received.

Since Ilst meeting the fallowing coa
mittee meetings bone been held:
March 22, 1902.-Re appointment of
delegates for depraotion "relative to lit
chell bridge, equivalent for bonuses and
Government grant of £50,000 to 4thb,
5th and 6th cltas shires. Cra. Rashleigh.
ScottI, Stutrr, Roder, Roberts and Bollo
way were appointed, and were allowed £4
each expencee.
It was reuolved tht the. river bankt
road from Wy Ya?ng to Picnic Point,
Sasked for by Sir Tarrant to be opened by
the council. is not rrquired, and it was re
solrved that the prrsi?eat and centre riding
members be deputed to confer and arrange
with the landownert re proceedings for the
defence on mandamn, if necessary.
It waru resolved that the next ordinryv
meeting of the council be paostponed from
the 2nd to the 9th April, 1902.
It was resolved that notice be pat in
the local ppere thbat all trafic is stopped
upon the new Bollamwasl road.
Sn'urday, April S--The fiance com
minee met at the shire hall on Saturday.
5th April. 1902. The secretary laid be
fore them the accounts for the month of
MSarch, amounting to £305 19s 2dJ, which
were examined and ordered to be laid be
fore the next meeting of the council to be
finally dealt with.
