Prowler's Excuse -
'I'm mad sometimes,' was the excuse
given by Peter Muscardlne (28), a mod
eller, when ' charged in the City Court
today with having been on premises in
Chelmsford-road, North Perth, early on
the morning of November 7 for an un
lawful purpose (to wit, to. steal). .' . ?
He was caught by James Graham .
after he had frightened Graham's sister
in-law, who was coming- home late when ..
she discovered Muscardine lurking in th'e
backyard of Graham's . house.
He told the magistrate .-? (Mr. H. D. .
Moseley) today that he had not gone
there to steal. Far from it. He had
seen a lighted window, and had. gone in
from motives akin to those of 'Peeping
Tom.'
He was fined £5, with £1 Is 6d costs,
default being fixed at 14 days' imprison
