Rigg Leads Australians
In First-Class Averages
Br LONG -ON
EL E Rigg's magnificent batting in
the Sheffield Shield match in Mel
bourne has lifted him to top place in
the Australian first-class batting
averages, and only Bradman, of tne
Australians, has scored more runs
than he.
Another Victorian, Fleetwood-Smith. ]
has forced his way to the head of the |
bowling averages, but the high posi
tion occupied by R. G. Williams is a
pleasing feature to South Australians.
