WEDDINGS
BATTEY— McINTYHE
At 8t Raphael's Church, Parkside,
on Thursday, February 12, the marriage
was celebrated of Jack, youngest son
of Mr. J. Battey, of Parkside, to Agnes
(Aggie), daughter of Mr. T. Mclntyre.
The bride, who was given away by
her father, wore a charming frock of
white crepe de chine, with long flow-
ered net bridal veil. She carried a
beautiful bouquet of white flowers,
with white ribbon streamers. The
bridesmaid. Miss Mattie Mclntyre
bride's sister) was gowned in a deli-
cate pink georgette and an apple
green straw hat. Her bouquet of pink
flowers was tied with ribbon streamers
to match. Mr. Frank Thornton was
best man. The marriage ceremony
was performed by Rev. Father Barry,
assisted by Father Gregory and Father
Bayard. Nuptial mass followed. Ter
rance Mclntyre (brother of bride) car-
ried out the duties of altar boy. The
guests were afterwards entertained at
the residence of the bride's parents,
only the clergy ?' and near relatives
were present. Later the bridal couple
left by motor for a honeymoon at Port
Elliot. The bride travelled in a
brown milanese costume and a hat to
match.

. At the Gladstone Methodist Church.
Madge, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
?tanur taner. of Oapel. Western Australia,

and MM. W. Growden, of Gladstone. The
Rev. T. Geddes White -conducted the cere
mony. The bride, who was .given away by
Mr. C. Read, entered the church to the
?trains of the hymn 'The Voice that
Breathed O'er Bdtn.' She wore a sleeve
less', frock of white crane «atln. rather
