one of ordinary occurrence, nor without induce

neither do the Promoters simply present their
opinion aad belief as to the genuinraiess of the

of ore ; but their conclusions are based upon
the discovery of one of the best 'Backs' ever
dxposed on ttie Peninsula, and carrying not only
indieatiotu but ore itself, although not so rich
as may be confidently realised when sinking
operations are more fully carried out, for tekiek
dgect alone the Promoters have decided upon

CAPTAIN PRICE'S REPORT.
' New CernwaQ Mine, SSch February, 1873.
'To the Promoters of 'The New Moonta
Mining Company.'
'Gentlemen — I have, in accordance with
your request, inspected your Minami Chum,
and submit the following report :—
'No. 1 Shaft has been sunk to a depth of 17
fathoms, in a strong Lode, composed of Iron,
Mica, Short, and Steatite. I also noticed some
Mundic Quartz near the bottom. Samples of
the Iron have been assayed, when they gave
27*8 per cent, for Copper. I would advise that
acme of the Iron be analysed, as I am of
opinion that it might contain Antimony, or
some other valuable metals. The bearing of this
Lode appears to be N. 20 S. At the bottom
of this Shaft a cross-cut has been driven East
14 feet, but no wall has been cut The Lode
therefore in the bottom ahowa a width of some
15 feet, and neither hanging nor foot-wall
showing.
'At 9 fathoms West of No. 1 Shaft another
promising Lode has been opened op to a depth
of 10 feet, composed of Quartz, Short, aad
Iron. This Lode appears to be about 8 feet
wide, and bears about N. 20 B.
'At about 20 fathoms to the east of No. 1
Shaft a strong iron back has been cut in cos.
teening, but nothing has been done towards
' In conclusion, I would aay that in my
opinion y*u have a most valuable property, but
to develop ft properly you must sink deeper
and open up the ground ; in fact, if I ware
working in the bottom of No. 1 Shaft, I should
be expecting to cot ere every sink.
' I aai, Gentlemen, yours truly,
'W. H. Pbick,
'Manager of the New Cornwall Mine.'
FORK OF AFPnOAXIOK.
To the Promoters of the New Moonta Mining

Gentlemen — I request you to allot me
Shares in the aboveaamed Company in terms
of the prospectus, and I agree to aoospt the
same, or any smaller number: ani I herewith
