A meeting of tho 7A1> Women's Club
was hold in the National Hall, .Devonport,
Mrs. Bartlett (president) being in the
chair. The following donations were re
ceived: Mesdames Laird, 5/; Hiller, 2/;
Cannon, teapot; Mitcham, erica for decor
ations. Prizes were donated by Mes
dames Laird, Amunsden, Ellis and Alex
j ander, the winners being Mesdames Wayn,
lucky scat; Alexander, door prize; Archer,
cake; Amunsden, box of powder. Knitted
j socks were received from Mesdames Ains
I worth, 2 pairs; Gannon, 2 pairs; Bartlett,
2 pairs; Alexander, pair mittens. After
noon tea hcälesses were Mesdames W.
Ainsworth and J, Dick. Mesdames A.
Archer and G. Cooper were in charge of
the trade table. A social afternoon will
take place in the National Hall on June 22
at 2.30 p.m. Tho programme will consist
of competitions, games and community
singing. _
