Dr. H. R. Smith, of Collie, who was
some years ago practising at Cue, was
married to Miss A. Ferry in Perth last
week. Dr. and Mrs. Smith are at pre
sent on a honeymoon trip to Singapore

left for Perth by yesterday evening's

Sister Mary Bernard, of the Domin
ican Convent, Cue, who had been admit
ted to the Cue Hospital some days prev
iously, passed peacefully away on Fri-'
day, June 8th. The body was removed
to the Church, where Mass was cele
brated. On Monday morning the re- -j.
mains were placed on the train and wer« 2
conveyed to Dongarra for interment 1

acting as relieving sub-coilector of Gus
toms in Geraldton during tJie past three;
months pending the appointment b% a
successor to Mr. R. Carson whp has re
tired, returned to the city by last
night's train Mr. C. J. Kin*'* erst
while of Bun bury, has now taken over
the position of local sub-collector.
