gard to tho former, tho Minister has ap-

to dredge thc now lluka channel, and ho
nt once .Instructed Mr. Dc Burgh, thc
Acting Engineer in Chnrgo, to mnko tho
necessary arrangements. If possible the
sand will bo pumped behind wall. With
regard to tho Yumba channel tho Minister
states that you can go on with your part
of the work at once, nnd when completed
ho will commission n grab dredge ns pre-
viously promised. You cnn rest assured
that there will bo no delny so far as thc
(lovernmonl is concerned. Mr. Hell could
not po with mo, having to nttond tho
Arbitration Court, but ho gave mo particu-
lars which were oí material help. I do
not ontlclpato any further trouble In get-
ting tho work, stnrtod nt the now Iluka
channel.
