SYDNEY.-Promising three-year
old Krakatoa has first rate prospects of
scoring another victory when he runs
in the Parramatta Stakes (7J furlongs)
at Rosehill tomorrow.
TTE has strong opposition
in Rapid River but his
sterling defeat of the five
year-old country. champion
at Canterbury a fortnight
ago has benefited the colt no
end. I
Rapid River found him
! self out of his class when
he was beaten by Hans in
last week's- Dee Why Gra-
duation Stakes.
In a big field the consis-
tent Tatyoon should fill a
place.
He : showed still further
improvement when he gal-
loped pn the track yester-
day. . Caspar is another who
must be considered.
? ¡Topweight, Iroquois, beat-
en favourite at Canterbury
last start, still appears the
best acceptor for this week's
Flying Handicap.
He finished only behind
Versher in that race but it
was not completely the gal-
loper's fault that he was
beaten.
Good Sprinters
Sky Hawk and Bronze
Peak undoubtedly will give
a good account of them-
selves. .
Sky Hawk's Randwick
performance last week wa»
unmeritorious but his pre-
vious win at Canterbury
places him well in the cal-
culations.
Bronze Peak was only re-
suming after a spell in last
week's Avalon Welter and
is a Rosehill winner.
Last start winner El Ziet,
with Noel McGrowdie in the
saddle, could be the one
hardest to toss in the Rose-
hill Handicap.
He- is in top form at the
moment and his victory
over Quinox and Lucky Tea
in last "week's Novice at
Randwick was no fluke.
Admittedly he has strong-
er opponents tomorrow but
by no means is out of his
class.
Tossing, who is returning
to form, and New Zealander,
Unfaan, who has been out of
running for a while, are
certain to make the pace
tough. Cymbidium and
Waterlady could upset pre-
dictions. *
Welter Chance
Golden Wedge, who re-
turned to the race tracks
with a sprint win at New-
castle two weeks ago, could
down a fair field in the
Welter.
Vastly Improved Silent
Prince no doubt will give a
forward showing. He has
made some splendid recent
runs on the provincial
tracks.
Billy Cook's mount, Vital
Link, with a third in Ocean
Bound's welter last week,
has a good chance.
A big maiden acceptance
has made three divisions
with still even big fields.
One of the best chances is
considered Briton in the
second division. Third al
his last start, Pacemaker
looks the likely winner ol
the first division. Mr,
Philo's creditable second at
Hawkesbury last start
brings him well up as a
chance in the third division
of the Maiden
