the members of the Electric Industrial A?
sociation of the Postal Department. Sr.

was the repult of the Postal Commission
the evidence would be interesting readips.
He did not think the experience of placing
the railways under a commission was satis
factory. Personally he hoped the post office
would never be placed under a Commis
sioner. T!.p. Tudor urged the men in. the
Postal Department to organize. He. was
not snre whether the_ department should
lie placed under Commissioners, but he had
some doubts abont the system. He hoTH»d
the officers would see that all their griev
ances were brought before the royal com
riiission. Rd. Matthews hoped the commis
sion would be'able to redress all thewrones
in the department, though he doubted if
it would. The ? principal cause of tha
trouble in the financing of the department
waf. due to the attempt to carry out all
works from revenue. Tf the peoplr wanted
an efficient department ihey must pay for
it. Rr.. Coon said that one jrrievance was
that men with IS or 20 years' scrvitre and
others who had served in S^outli Africa l.iid
been nut off hi favour of youne men with
out experience who had popped an examina
tion. He hoped they would be reinstated.

go info the worfa'ne of tho electrical enei
