Coastal Cbb
Th er« was a fair muster of
members at the Coastal Club's run
to Wattle Grove last Sunday.
The points competition was ad-
vanced a further stage when a wild
and-woolly was conducted. J. Hewitt
(A.J.S.) rode well to gain major
points, E. Ashton (Ariel) was second
and fastest, W. Kennington (B.S.A).
third and R. Fordham (Ariel) fastest
unplaced- Times in the point-to-point
race were very even and on adjust-
ment of handicaps R. Thompson
(Ariel) obtained 1st olace, with J. Ber-
een (Norton) 2nd and J. Riley (Nor-
ton) 3rd. The acceleration test went to
J. Bradford (Norton), with R. Ford-
ham, W. Kennington and J. Riley
dead-heating for second. Mrs. Farmer
won the speed judging competition.
The A.J.S. Club's open pillion trial
will be held to-day, commencing from
Victoria Park at 10 a,m., and to-day
fortnight (October 18) the Northam
Club will conduct an open scramble
on the Seabrook Course near Northam.
Entries for this event will close next
Wednesday with fee of 2/6, and for
teams of three the nomination fee is
4/6. The association secretary will
accept metropolitan riders' nomina-
tions. Open competition licenses are
required for this event.
