PERTH V. WEST PERTH
A Farcical Finish
Yesterday Perth met West Perth at
Leederville. For West Perth the game
held no hope of further glory. Their
exclusion from the four having been
already determined, but for Perth the
match was important-a win meaning
a place for them in the semi-finals. A
disappointingly small crowd saw the
game open. F. Collins umpired.
The teams were:
Perth. - O'Callaghan, Hungerford,
Corney, Rowlands, Tyson, McGaffln,
McComlsh, Lean, Erickson, Bryant,
Grigg, Cooper, Seubert, Lucas, Johns-
ton, Oliphant, Tomb and Manuel, with
Donoghue 19th man.

Perth attacked from the start and
within a few minutes Lucas scored a
full pointer, to be quickly-followed by
three more goals by Oliphant and a
fine kick by Manuel brought up the
fifth goal and later the sixth. Not till
four fifths of the quarter had gone did
West Perth secure their first major,
Hopkins fluidly kicking oft the ground,
Perth retaliated and Bryant notched
their seventh goal. Perth dominated
the play all over the ground.
