Tracking Jap
War Criminate
LONDON. Saturday.— The Aus
tralian representative, Lieut.-Col.
L. J. Oldham. speaking at the
United Nations War Crimes Con
ference, urged the speeding up of
the war crimes investigation in the
Far East and Pacific by close co
operation between China, Aus
tralia. France, the Netherlands, and
the United States.
He said that France and the
Netherlands, for example, could
not undertake the elaborate system
of investigation which the United
States had adopted.
The tiacking of Japanese war
criminals could be accelerated by
the establishment of liaison officers
in Washington and Canberra. —
