MILDURA.
JULY 28.
A case of drowning occurred here on Wed
nesday last. A three-year-old son of Mr. G.
H. Tolley was missed at noon, and a search
was immediately made for him. After a little
while his apparently lifeless body was found in
a channel a short distance from the house.
Medical assistance was at once procured, but
without avail. Great sympathy is expressed
for the parents.
News is to hand of the death in Melbourne
of Mr. McEdwards, owner of Kulkyne
Station, adjoining Mildura. The deceased
gentleman was one of the early pioneers of
this district, and at one time owned several
stations in the immediate vicinity of Kulkyne.
He was also the second owner of the old Mil
dura run.

held, are busily engaged in providing space
and receivinc entries. Several large marquees
have been erected, and given fine weather tbe
