Commissioner E. W. Turner (Police
Magistrate) presided at the Court of Re
.qcests to-day.
B. Douglas oued 'Mrs. C. IHodgetts for
£i 10s, goods sold and delivered. Plain

Hludson appeared for defendant. Plain.

,Joyce, collector, said defendant admitted

Ilulson ,pohited out that plaintiff had
looked to defendant's husband, who 'was
killed on the Burnie breakwater in
February last, to pay the debt, and he
could not now change the defendant. The

I household debt could be recovered from
either. Plaintiff was non-suited.
It. If. Summers claimed £30 from Jas.
Phillips for thde sale of a horse. When
the case was called M3r. L. ?ludson, who
uppeared for defendant, stated that Mir.
Orisp, who was acting for plaintiff, and
hie had agreed to a verdict being en
tered up for the full amount. 'That was
done, the Commissioner adding £3 for
expenses.
