SUNKEN TREASURE.
The expedition which set out to recover
treasure from the wreck of the steamer
Elingamite failed in its object, the weather
being very rough. Another attempt will be
made in the summer.
WIRELESS TELEGRAPHY.
The Postmaster-General (Sir J. G. Ward)
informed the House to-night that he hoped
something practical would soon be done to
establish wireless telegraphic communica-
tion with Australia.
SOUTH BRITISH INSURANCE
COMPANY.
At the annual meeting of the South
British Insurance Company to-day the
chairman said the income from premiums
had increased by £13,420, the revenue from
rents and interest had increased by £5,185,
and the losses were £20,460 more than for
the previous year.
