ADELAIDE OIJEDDBiEIN'S HOSPITAL.
A meeting of the general committee of the Adelaide
Children's Hospital was held at the institution
immediately at the close of the annual
meeting of subscribers on Monday. The chair
was occupied by the president (Sir Samuel Way,
Bart.), and there were VA other members of the
committee present. The members of the Angas
portraits presentation committee were asked to
stay a few moments, when the President moved
"That we record an expression of our gratitude
to the Angas portraits presentation committee for
their efforts by which the very excellent portraits
of Mr. and Mrs. Angas, painted by Mr. Webb, had
been secured and hung in the Adelaide Children's
Hospital. This was seconded by Mr. L. P.
Lawrence, supported by Dr. Langdon, and carried
with acclamation. (Mr. Mackie, as secretary of the
presentation committee, acknowledged the vote of
thanks, and said it had been throughout a labor
of love, and that his Honor the Chief Justice was
entitled to special thanks as the chairman of the
presentation committee, and one who had given
efficient aid in bringing their efforts to a successful
termination. The "President explained that it
had been stipulated that in the event of the de-
cease of either Mr. or Mrs. Angas, an event which
he hoped was far distant, the portraits were to
go to the survivor during the period of life. On
the motion of the Hon. J. J. Duncan, seconded by
Lady Morgan, the board of management was re
elected. A vacancy having occurred in the staff
of the hon. visiting medical officers by the resignation
of Dr. Michie, the following were ap-
pointed: Dr. Bnrnrmitt, as indoor visiting medical
officer, and Dr. Gunson, as visiting medical
officer for out-patient?. The following were appointed
as honorary anaesthetists:-tf>r. Shrank
Magarey, Dr. E. Angas Johnson, and Dr. R. H.
E. Russell. Dr. F. Magarey was reappointed as
hon. registrar, and Professor Watson as hon. consulting
pathologist. Dr. "London moved a vote
of thanks to Sir Samuel Way for presiding at
the meeting, and also for the unabated interest
he took in the welfare of the institution. This
was seconded by Mr. Lawrence, and carried with
acclamation. Sir Samuel briefly replied.
