Gentlemen— Knowing you to 'be Interested in the
WOOL MARKET generally, and in the produce of your
9wn flocks in particular, I take ib.3 liberty of addreaiing
yon, and of soliciting your support, my object Ming to
establish, with your assistance, a genuine system of
SELLING WOOLS by PUBLIC AUCTION, .
and to hold regular Periodical Sales, at which
WOOLS and WOOLS
only shall be submitted.
Melbourne Houses having now established Agencies in
this City for the purchase of Wool, is a sure guarantee |
that you will obtain the very highest market price, that '
it to say. Melbourne rates, Ices the small cost of sliip- ]
meat to Habson's Bay.
Your produce will thus inevitably partake of the
advantages to be derived from competition for its pur
chase; knd. to do this to the utmost extent, I propose
organizing what I trust will prove to be a complete and
efficient system, as follows : —
Firstly— Wool will be (if desired) received and Stored,
either in Adelaide or at the Port, and Samples
taken from each lot.
Secondly— The Simples will be open for inspection in '
the Exchange Mart, properly marked, numbered,
and arranged, to correspond with the same Wools -
as stored in BULK; and the Wool in Balk, so
marked and numbered, will also be open for in
spection at the respective stores in Adelaide or
at the Port.
Thirdly— Periodical Saks by Public Auction (say once
a Fortnight) will be advertised, and Catalogues
' will be published, setting forth the respective
Marks, Qualities, and Description of Wool to be
told.
For the Scale of Chuges, Com nisiion. 4c, &c_ I beg
to refer yon to the accompanying Advertisement.
In. conclusion, I would earnestly .request your favour
able consideration of the proposed system, solicit yoar
substantial support, and assure you that all shall be done
on my part, and by the Firmof Green, Parr, 4 Luxmoore,
that will in any way advance your interest.
I have tho honour to be, Gentlemen,
