UNSOLD
Victoria Park House
Brings £810
Two detached brick and wood
cottages at 30 and 32 Subiaco
road, Subiaco, one of them
partly condemned, were passed
in at £ 1,600 at an auction con
ducted in the Builders' Ex
change yesterday. When offered
sepatately with vacant posses
sion, the partly condemned cot
tage was passed in at £700.
Each cottage is of about eight
squares and contains a dining
room, four bedrooms, kitchen,
bathroom, storeroom and laun
dry. All but three bedrooms in
the front portion of No. 32 have
been condemned by the Subiaco
Municipal Council. The cottage
at No. 30 was offered subject
to existing tenancies and is at
present let at a weekly rental
of 24/. About 30 persons at
tended the auction, which was
conducted by Milner and Co.
After an opening bid of £100
had been made for a five-room
brick cottage at 70 Great East
ern-highway, Victoria Park,
calls of £100, £50, £25 and
£10 raised the price to £810,
at which it was finally sold.
The house is of about eight
squares and contains a lounge
room, dining room, two bed
rooms and a kitchen. Vacant
possession was offered. One of
the conditions of sale was that
the house must be sewered.
