POLICE COURTS.
PERTH.
(Saturday.-Before Mr H. J. Craig. SM).
Obscene Language.-John Kendall
(22). labourer. was fined £2, with 15/6
costs on a charge of having used obscene
language.
Begging.-Laurence Joyce (30). lab-
ourer. was cautioned and ordered to pay
3/ costs on a charge of having begged
for alms in a public place.

Shoplifting.—Dkoksia Milo (30). of
Carr-street. West Perth. was charged
with having stolen a pair of child's
bloomers and a child's frock, valued at
14/6. from Woolworths (WA). Ltd. Perth.
A shop assistant gave evidence that she
saw the accused take a child's dress from
the counter, measure it against her own
child and put it back on the counter. She
then took another dress, measured it
against the child 3 limes, put in her
shopping bag and walked away. She was
intercepted by a policewoman and taken
to the manager's office where her bag
was searched and the dress was dis
covered together with a pair of child's
bloomers, which had also been stolen.
She was fined £2. with 36/6 costs.
