Himalaya.— No dale :— Drive north from eastern
end of crosscut has been extended 53 ft , and is now
abreast of the last pit sontb, in which we obtained
lead ote on the eastern side of lode formation. In
tbe last fortnight's driving a little lead has been
obtained. We have started crosscutting east from
end of north drive, and I expect to cut the eastern
seam of lode in six or eight days at most. I have
sunk the pit referred to in the above down to a
depth of 12 ft; and in tbe present bottom there is a
good show of ore, and far better than we have had
at a similar depth anywhere el;e in sinking, and I
am sanguine that we snail strike a good show of ore
in erosscutting.
