Good Competition—
Steadier Tone
LONDON, April 18.
At the wool sales today. 7,588 bales were
offered. including 312 from New South
Wales, 224 from Queensland. [?] Victorian,
106 Western Australian. 232 Tasmanian.
and 4.413 bales from New Zealand. Of
the total, approximately 5,087 bales were
add. There was a good general competi
tion, and offerings were cleared better
than last week.
Prices showed a steadier tone, and In
? same Instances were In sellers' favor.
