ANTI-LABOUR PARTIES.
"Must Snap Out of Coma."
MELBOURNE. April 29.-The Fed
eral Country Party and the UAP had
suffered greatly from lack of strong
active backing by party organisa
tions, said Mr McEwen. MHR, today.
To compel the Curtin Governmentto
take a strong stand against strikers
and agitators and devote proper at
tention to the needs of the food In
4ustry both the Opposition parties
at Canberra would have to be given
the support of virile party organisa
tions.
It was poor inspiration for Parlia
mentary members to fight if their
own party organisation was too futile
even to choose candidates and begin
organising to win back seats lost at
the last Federal elections. That was
the position today in each of the 3
mainland Eastern States. The CP
and UAP alike must snap out of
the coma and get to work right
away so they would not wake to find
socialisation blossoming more rap
idly than at present.
