The Story of the Week.
WITH the success of "The
Citadel," "Pygmalion," "The
Lady Vanishes" and "Owd Bob"
in Axherica there is a new Bri
tish boom in Hollywood. "Wuth
ering Heights," for Instance, is
so full of British people that the
Hollywood "gang" hardly knows
a thing about the picture.
One agent, over oysters in the
Trocadero, sadly shook his head
as he told me: "Don't think
.Goldwyna will make money with
it... Warners have just done
'Dawn Patinl' and 'Wings of
the Navy' and M-G-M have re
leased Vest Pilot.' 'Wuthering
Heights'--so what? They can
fly as high as they like, but the
stunts are the same old stuff in
all these aviation films."--W. H.
Mooring in "Film Weekly"
(London).
