SPEAKS OF REQUIREMENTS

Mr. W. C. Angwin- Minister for
Lands and Immigration, told a deputa
' tien yesterday that in the coming year
the department would require

'years 2500 cows, without other stock,
would be needed to provide herds for
.settlers. He hoped that the time was

and produce imports would be reduced
and the State provide sufficient for it-

butter.
Last Thursday Mr. Horsington asked r
the Secretary for Lands a number of
questions relating to settlement on the
lands of the Western Division and the (
reversion of homestead leases to the
! original stations from which they were
