TENNANT CREEK GOLD.
Eldorado Output.
Eldorado, at Tennant Creek, north
ern Australia's largest goldfield,
treated 6,037 tons of ore for 5,278oz
of fine gold, worth £36,565, for the
year to June 30 last. The profit was
£8,089 and 6d per 2/ share was dis
tributed. Mining, treatment and de
velopment costs together averaged
82/2 per ton. Above the 200ft level
about 5,000 tons, averaging 20dwt,
remains to be extracted from the
central shoot, and a "considerable"
tonnage of 6dwt to 15dwt ore remains
in the eastern shoot, core ofl
which has been stoped. Below 200ft
the lode is faulted. Exposures at
304ft level indicate 25 tons of l118dwt
ore for every foot the central shoot
persists. In the eastern shoot there
are some 6.000 tons, averaging 15dwt.
Adjustments and connections have
yet to be made to the new cyaniding
plant. To meet £2,203 owing to
creditors there were stores, bullion,
cash, etc, totalling £22,579 when the
books closed.
