N.S.W. Senator's Visits
Of Inspection
Senator Arnold, of New South
Wales, who is in South Australia
making enquiries on behalf of the
Ministry of Munitions, yesterday
in company with Mr- Smith, MHR,
visited two country centres. Dis
trict council members discussed
with Senator Arnold possible
schemes to prevent floodwaters at
Commonwealth homes.
Senator Arnold said last night
that he was pleased with the effi
ciency shavtro at the M?imiim im
plement works of David Shearer
Ltd. They were, be said, a valuable
indication of what could be done
ir the decentralisation of indus
tries.
Senator Arnold was an employe
of the South Australian Fire Bri
gade about 20 years ago. This
morning he will visit the Fire Bri
