Party at Embassy.
AT the Embassy ballroom on Monday
night the monthly party and dance
of the 6PR Listeners' Club took place.
Betsy Spigl's orchestra supplied bright
music for the dancing.
A box of .roses, carnations and camel
lias was presented to the hostess, Mrs.
Daphne James, by Mrs. Albert Webb on
behalf of the committee and members
of the club. It was the first anniversary
of Mrs. James's taking over the woman's
session of the station.
Features of the evening were an exhi
bition dance by Miss Thelma McLennan,
songs by Mrs. Shannon, and an exhibi
tion dance by Miss Pat Urquhart and
Mr. Andrew Drummond. The committee
responsible for the success of the party
included Mesdames A. Webb (convener),
R. Cargeeg, E. Stevens, E. Dowling, D.
Fort, J. Smith and K. Walsh.
