children appeared to give satisfaction to the visitors
present on the occasion. The copy and exercise
books showed that the more advanced of the boys
were being well grounded in the rudiments of a
commercial education. A certificate was aigued
by the visitors testifying that the condition of the
schoolroom was superior; the supply of maps,
class-books, &c abundant; tbe discipline, order
and appearance pf the scholars very good; the
writing of some of the elder boys and girls exceed
ingly good, also that of the younger boys, con
