LORETO CONTEST FETE.
A good attendance was maintained at the
garden, fete held at the Loreto Convent [?]
College, which was continued on Friday evening.
The terrace of the college was lined with colores
lights. Mrs. T. B. S=arfe. Mrs. \V. J. Denny.
Miss A. Cummias (president o£ the Old Scholars'
Association), and Mrs. Malone (secretary) were
present. The college, which was the residence
of the late Sir Etfwiu Smith; is situated at the
comer of the Kcosingtoa and Portrush rvuos
Marryatrille. On Saturday afternoon the fere
\va? informally reopened at 3 o'clock. The at
tendance was good, and the financial aspect
satisfactory. Xc? equipment wil he acquired,
and improvements to the college and grounds
will \v nude vrilii the proceeds, which are an
l:c;p=ted to exited £100. An addition to iht
fine was the j?mh.e stall, arid a display of fancy
dressed doJIF, convened by Mrs. Mjljoy. Otbcr

Rirminjrham, and Miss Miller; produce, Mesdames
Cnznmb* and Heath; refreshments, Mr?. Pick;
sweets, i>aj: scholars; fancy, preaeat echslarc.
