thorities give the first move, 11-16, as the
Bristol, but the text move is now gener-
ally recognised by all experts as the Bris-
tol opening.
(b) No doubt of this being the safest
continuation.
(e) Black has got quite an innumerable
surplus of good moves, such as 9-14,8-12,
8-11.
(d) 27...23 or 25...22 quite safe, although
not w> good as 18...15.
(e) Leads to some critical variations,
7-10 and 19-23 both draw.
