BLOWN FROM TRAIN WINDOW.
Child's Miraculous Escape.
MADRID, Sept. 24.-As a train was
crossing a high ravine, Miguel Jalon held
his little daughter at the window to see
the scenery, when the wind "blew the child
from his grasp. The distracted father
found that the communication cord would
not work, so he climbed along the roofs
of the carriages to warn the engine crew.
The train pulled up a few yards short of a
tunnel where Jalon would have been
crushed to death. The rescuers found that
the child had bounded 60 feet down the
ravine and had been caught unhurt in a
clump of bushes.
