Kangaroos On Parade
From 5 AD=PI
Many song novelties and original
sketches will be introduced by the
5 AD-PI Kangaroos when they come
on parade at 8.15 tonight. Ralph
Peterson, Patty Clayton, and "Jacka
roo"' will give the comedy playlet
"When Dad Kills a Fowl," while the
leading parts in "The Variety Show"
will be played by Keith Waishe and
Jim Williams. A comedy song scena,
"She's Mine," will also be included.
Other Kangaroos who will perform are
Betty and Valma Hewitt, Va_ma Craf
ter, John Watts, Ken Hocking, Betty
and Maxine Quinn, Joan Anders, June
Clark, Berteena and Lorraine Ellis.
Hilda Safra, Kevin Ormsby, Imelda
Flanagan, Fave Davey, Don Dewar,
Frank Critchley, Rille Walshe, Rita

There will be two guest artists in
the Shell Show tomorrow night. Both
are Australians. One of them, John
Frazer, is a young Australian baritone
who returned from America last No-
vember to appear in the Shell Show as
a guest artist. He has sung leads in
Gilbert and Sullivan operas in every
English speaking country in the world.
His name has been blazed in white
letters across Broadway, and he has
fuiailed long term radio contracts over
the NJB.C. on a relay of 87 stations.
During the next two months he will
be heard in the Shell Show, featuring
items with Bert Howell and his band,
which have not yet been heard on the
air in Australia. The second guest
artist is Chick Arnold, another Aus
tralian, who has just returned from
big radio contracts in America. He is
a comedian, saturated with new
humor. He will occupy two five
minute "spots" in the programme to
morrow night.
Nest Week's Features
On Thursday night at 8.30. the Mys
tery Club Narrator will again make
his appearance before the 5 AD micro
phone with another of his dramatic
thrillers entitled "The Mystery of the
Reno Mail." This is a story of the
Trans-American Air Mail and the
strange things that happened to one ,
of the pilots on the Reno-West Cen
tral section of the route. ,_....:
The fifth episode of the historical
dramatisation, ?Sailing With Flinders,
will be presented over "The Adver
tiser" network, 5 AD-PI-MU, on Wed
nesday night at 9.15. This interesting
feature deals with the early history
of South Australia and Captain Flin
ders' experiences in Australian waters
in his ship the Investigator.
Another interesting feature broad
cast over "The Advertiser" stations
every Wednesday night is the thriller
competition entitled "You Solve the
Mystery." Another mysterious crime
will be related next Wednesday rught j
at 8.15, and listeners are invited to
send in their solution of the mystery.
Six prizes will be awarded to the most
skilfully constructed entries.
Next "Friday, during "The Advertiser*
sporting session at 7 p.m., Mr. C. H.
Hartwig, organising secretary of tne
Country Carnival Cricket Association,
will speak from 5 AD-PI on the forth
coming carnival matches in Adelaide.
Scores in the country carnival cric
ket matches will be broadcast over
"The Advertiser" network. 5 AD-PI
MU at 9.45 p.m. for a period of ten
minutes each night beginning on March
2. until the conclusion of the carnival
on March 12.
