BOULDER MUNICIPAL WORKS
COMMITTEE'S REPORT
Following are excerpts from the
latest report of the works committee
of the Boulder Municipal, Council:
Reports of officers were read and
dealt with as follows:
Foreman.
"The day labour staff has been
employed during" the past fortnight
as follows:-
"Gravelling footpaths in Lane,
Hamilton, Moran, Brookman and
Piesse streets. Patching roads=
Wilson, Brookman, Forrest and
Vivian streets. Repairing cul
verts corner Lane and Clancy
streets. Colas patching footpaths in
Lane and Burt streets, and road in
Lane street. Repairing bridges in
Piesse and Forrest streets: At pre
sent we are reforming road in
Brooknan street between Moran
and Wittenooan streets.
"I would like to draw attention
to the wilful destruction by youths
pulling off the decking from foot
bridge over the main drain, Piesse
street, west, also pulling down
stand pipe in Lane street."
Health and Traffic Inspector
"Infectious Disease: NQ cases of
infectious disease have been report
ed during .the past fortnight. Gene
ral inspection has beeh carried out,
and in several places notices have
been served to have necessary work
done.
"Traffic: Since last report, three
prosecutions for breaches of the
traffic regulations were' heard. and
fines totalling £7 inflicted. Eight
more cases will be heard next week.'

Gardener
"Since my last report, 'he work
Ihas been carried out as usual. At
present we are painting the house
in the recreation ground. I thii
we will finish it to-morrow. All
I parks in fair order. Water used:
Richardson street, 7000 gallons;
recreation ground, 69,000--Received.
Sanitary Foreman
"Since my last report all sanitary
1 work has been carried -.n in good
order. All work is up to date. T?e
plant is in good running order."-
Received.
General Business
The committee made a further in
spection of the Town Hall basement,
and considered the kitchen was the
most suitable place for the wash-up
trough.
Attention was drawn to a defec
tive footbridge at the corner of Lane
and Moran streets.
The report was adopted at the
meeting of the full council, on
Thursday night.
