GERMANY'S LOST TRADE i
PLAN TO RECOVER.
ORGANISING GERMANS
ABROAD.
London, May 24.
A vast plan is being discussed in
Berlin to mobilise German business
men abroad, in an attempt to re
cover lost trade. German exports in
April touched the lowest point since
the war,, while imports have been
increasing since 1931.
The official Nazi organ, the
"Volkische Beobachter," says it is
intended that Germans abroad, with
experience in the trade of foreign
countries, shall return and take
charge of the export departments of
manufacturing firms, and that their
places abroad will be taken by ex
perts from Germany, familiar with
the latest developments. It will be
the duty of firms to see that goods
bought abroad for export to Ger
many are carried thither in German
ships. -The "Volkische Beobachter"
adds that the working of the scheme
will be comparatively simple, since
the organisation of German mer
chants throughout. the world is so
complete.
