PEDESTRIANISM.
SUB1ACO CARNIVAL TONIGHT.
The Subiaco Football Club's footrunning car
nival will open tonight on the Subiaco OvaL
The first heat will start at 8 o'clock, and £45
in stakes will be distributed. With the admit
of warmer conditions, the fixture should attract
a record attendance. The chief event wfll be
over 440 yards, and will be supported by an open
100 yards handicap and a novices handicap Jter
the same distance. '
The fullest information will be presented to
the puhlic by means of the screen and speech
amplifying equipment, and the results are indi
cated immediately by means of coloured lights
