METHODIST MISSIONERS.
Annual Convention.
The ninth auriual .convention of tbe pro
bationers and home missioners of the West
Australian Methodist Conference will be
held in the Mavlands Methodist Church
from .Monday to Thursday next, the theme
being 'The Living Christ and Personal
Evangelism.' A welcome to delegates will
take plaee at 8 p.m. on Monday, the Bev.
J. A_. Sanders (secretary of the conference)
presiding,, and the Rev. J. Green, B.A.,
B.D, (president of the conference), being
the princpal speaker. . On Tuesday there
will be a business session at 9.45 a.m., fol
lowed at.'11.15 a.m. by an address on 'Re-
ligious Instruction in State Schools' by
the Rev. A. G. Howse, B.A. At 2.15 p.m;
the Rev. E. H. O. Nye will speak on 'The
Message and Methods of Jesus in Personal
Evangelism,' and at 8 p.m. there will be
a^ public meeting, at wliich addresses on
'The Personal Evangelism of Jesus' will
be delivered by Messrs. Morrell and Black
well.
-On Wednesday morning the Rev. J.
Green will speak on 'Some Matter's of
Moment,^' and in the afternoon the Rev.
R. Hocking will speak on 'The Power of
the Risen Christ in Personal Evangelism.'
At the public meeting at night Messrs.
Hodgkins and Nicholls will give addresses
on the same subject. 'Modern Methods of
Evangelism' 'will be discussed by the Rev.
A. A. Lyons on Thursday morning. At
2.15 p.m. the Rev. Hugh Paton, of St.
Andrew's- Presbyterian Church, will speak
on 'Tthe Living Christ as the Challenge to
Personal Evangelism.' The presidential
address and sacramental service will take
place at ;3.45 p.m., the speaker being the
Rev. J. Green. The final public meeting
will be held; at 8 pjnr, when Messrs. Hill
and Vaughan- will speak on ' 'A Living
Christ for a Dying World.'
