LICENSING COURT AT WILUNA
WILUNA, Nov. 1. — The State Licensing
Court, consisting of Messrs. M. Cahill '
(chairman), E. H. Barker and W. Bur
! gess. commenced its sittings at Wiluns.
today.
Application was made by J. A. Carpen
ter for two provisional hotel licences
Evidence was given by several witne.sse
in regard to the town's increased popu
lation, the lack of hotel bar space ami
hotol accommodation.
The police objected on the ground.-,
that the present hotels were sufficient fo
the district's requirements.
Mr. H. A. Inclis appeared for the au
nlicant and Mr. E. E. Bureess for th -
'censees of the present hotels as objec
'ors.
The hearing was adjourned
Three hotel mid two billiard lablt ,
licences were renewed by the Court,.
