SOUTH PERTH CLUB.
Another enthusiastic meeting of players took
place at the Mends-street Hall on October
28 in connexion with the movement started bv
the committee of the South Perth club for flip
purpose of obtaining an increase in membership
and rporsanisincr the club Renerally. There was
an attendance of about i-0, Mr. F. t. Walsh, vice
president, occupyinfr the chair.
In a call for nominations, there was quite a
rush for forms, and to date about 40 new mem
bers have been nominated (including Eorae pro
minent players and two of the State's best),
and more are anticipated.
The old committee retired to enable the meet
injr to elect a new and more youthful one,
which was done, and resulted in the following
being appointed: — Captain, Mr. R. Jones; lion,
secretary, Mr. J. C. Thomas (re-elected pro
tern.): lion, treasurer, Mr. C. A. R. Hill (re
nlected pro tern.); committee. Messrs. A. E. Lam
bert, M. Lambert, D. Dobson. E. B. Jackman,
and Misses 1). Wilfon and S. Summers.
A meeting of the new committee was then
held, when it was decided to proceed immediately
with the top-dressing of the courts for the en
suing season.
