FRUIT.
Heavy Supplies Forward.
Supplies of all lines of fruit were Heavy
at yesterday's auction sales in the Metro
politan Markets. Apples were well sup
blied but only prime or well-coloured
lines brought nnn prices, oiner graaes
being in slow demand. All citrus lines re
mained dull at late rates. Good tomatoes
were in fair demand but green and in
ferior sorts were hard to quit. Prices
were as follows:- —
APPLES. — Jonathans (flats, 2/6 to 8/6;
dumps, 2/6 to 8/9. Dunn's Seedling, flats, 2/
to 8/; dumps, 2/6 to 5/6. Home Beauty,
dumps, 3/ to 5/ (special, to 6/). Yates, dumps,
3/ to 6/8. Granny Smith, flats,. 2/8 to 6/6;
dumps, 4/ to 8/ (special to 9/8). Cleopatra,
flats, 2/ to 3/; dumps, 8/ to 5/6. Doherty,
flats, 3/ to 8/6; dumps, 8/« to 4/6. Deli
cious, dumps, 3/ to 7/9 (special to 8/6); Other
varieties, dumps, 8/ to 4/6. ....
CITRUS. — Navels, flats, 2/8 to «/6; dumps,
4/ to 7/6. Lemons, 2/ to 5/8. Mandarins, 6/
to 10/. .
OTHER LINES. — Pears, Bartlett, flats, 6/ to
8/; dumps, 6/ to 8/. Other varieties, flats, 2/6
